Kynikoi are the servants of Hecate, initially they were her priests who where transformed into wolf-like creatures of the night by the dark goddess's powers. The changes began to affect them even in their human form, turning more predatory and giving them enhanced senses. After time they would begin to display canine traits (notably teeth and eyes) even in their human form. Jason was turned into one, after committing sacrilege against Hecate by eating an offering to the goddess. He roamed the night, searching for food and people to eat. The only cure is to force them to ingest some form of silver solution. (Hunger Pangs)
