Seers are people blessed by the Gods, with power of knowledge beyond that of humans. Due to this linkage to the divine Seers also tend to have a linkage to a temple.
Of all the Seers, The Grey Sisters are classed as the most powerful seers on earth, able to see all even the minds of the gods.
According to the Oracle, Seers are not allowed to see their own future and the Gods allow them to see only certain things. Likewise according to Orpheus no Seer could understand everything to do with a persons destiny.
